Jocelyn Tucker, MA, brings over 25 years of expertise in the Early Care and Education field. Her career began as a teacher’s aide in an infant care center and has since evolved through various impactful roles, including preschool teacher, teacher trainer, workshop facilitator, program specialist, parent educator, director of program operations, early education coach, and college instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA and a Master of Arts in Human Development with a specialization in Leadership in Education from Pacific Oaks College. Additionally, she is a graduate of the UCLA Head Start Management Fellows program. Currently, Jocelyn serves as Assistant Director for the Foundation for Early Childhood Education Head Start/State Preschool, where she oversees the Education, Mental Health, and Disabilities departments. She also shares her knowledge as an Adjunct Faculty member at California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
A dedicated advocate for high-quality early childhood education, Jocelyn joined the Ideal Learning Head Start Network in 2021 and the Ideal Learning Roundtable in 2022, further supporting the advancement of innovative early learning approaches.
