Trust for Learning catalyzes collective action among existing and new Ideal Learning providers to accelerate Ideal Learning for underserved children.
We’re helping to ensure that Ideal Learning remains an outstanding, high-fidelity, and holistic approach to education even as it moves from serving the relatively few to the many. We do this by convening Ideal Learning providers to identify best practices, streamline strategies, and promote collaboration through such gatherings as the Ideal Learning Roundtable and the Montessori Leaders Collaborative.
We also support joint projects to develop assessment tools that help educators set and meet high standards for themselves without holding children back through arbitrary standardization. For example, the newly created Developmental Environmental Rating Scale helps providers assess whether their classrooms truly advance developmental milestones in children. Similarly, the Minnesota Executive Functioning Scale assesses child progress on executive functioning skills to provide educators with insights that foster better individual outcomes.
